Enterprising Health in Michigan

Location of Flint

Enterprising Health is a partnership between the community of Flint, Michigan and Ascension Health, the nation’s largest non-profit and Catholic health system in the United States. Rooted in its centuries-old mission of improving the health of its communities, Ascension Health is seeking to develop radical new approaches to health that leap beyond just the management of hospitals and clinics.

With that goal in mind, in 2007 Ascension Health approached ESW about launching the first ever BoP Protocol implementation in the U.S. The project was officially launched in April of 2008 as a collaborative effort of ESW, Cornell University’s Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise, and the University of Michigan. As the project manager, ESW leads the collaboration in project planning and setup, as well as hiring, training, and advising the project team and its partners.
